About Us

Hazeljane’s started out as a small Italian Greyhound rescue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is run by Maggie and Jim Lenertz. We now have a group of dedicated fosters in St. Louis, and an even larger group, with a co-coordinator, Bethany Pascoe, in the PA/NY/NJ area.

Mission

To help iggies in rescue, whether by supporting other rescues who have Italian Greyhounds, or by taking the dogs ourselves, or working with folks to re-home them.

Company Overview

We are a 501 (c) 3 federal charity, which means that all donations are tax deductible. We rescue Italian Greyhounds from a number of sources: Strays, and shelters, puppy mill closures, owner surrenders.

Description

We take in, pay all the vet bills for, bring back to health and re-home Italian Greyhounds in need. Usually, they need dental care, spay/neutering, all of their shots, and occasionally surgery for fractures, slipped patellas, skin cancers, etc. All of the dogs adopted out by us will be spayed or neutered, brought up to date on all vaccinations, tested for heartworm and parasites, given dental treatment if needed, and have all known medical issues treated and disclosed.
